“Shine Through is an informative and compassionate book on navigating the emotions, realities, and legalities of divorce. Lauren Marie humanizes divorce through her heartbreaking yet inspiring personal story. Insightful and selfless, Lauren paints a vivid picture of the physical, psychological and emotional struggles she faced as her marriage ended and how she navigated herself to a better place. Through her distinct voice, Lauren seamlessly focuses the reader's attention on self-healing and what is best for them personally, all while adding levity through chuckle-worthy Real Housewives anecdotes. If you're going through a divorce, or know someone who is, I highly recommend Shine Through. “Shine Through is a raw yet beautifully polished and approachable guide to the complexity of divorce. It provides the vantage point of Lauren’s experience while simultaneously connecting to the reader through shared emotions experienced in the process of loss, grief, and regrowth. The structure of Shine Through facilitates selfgrowth through many avenues, whether it be the poignant quotes that start each chapter or the “things to do” recommendations to facilitate self-love, finding resources, and rebuilding. Although Shine Through focuses on moving through the emotions and logistics of divorce, there are words of wisdom that speak to all audiences about recapturing your voice when your world is turned upside down.”

“If you have experienced a divorce or a bad breakup this book is for you. In Shine Through Lauren Marie gives you the tools to move forward in your journey of life. For example: Purging gifts and stuff. There are some things you don’t want as a reminder of your past relationships in a new relationship. No distractions. Why give room for confusion? I love the chapters on Mastering your emotions. Married or not, during a breakup, everyone can use these tools. The one that stood out the most was Loneliness. I know some would say since you are a Christian why not put that chapter first. This book is for all readers. We need to deal with the emotions of a divorce and for some God will be in the beginning and for others he will come after you pull yourself together. I feel this book will help others through their healing journey because sometimes people don’t know where to start.”
