The 8 Best Selling Products on Etsy
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve all taken up an entrepreneurial hobby, right? (Like how I merged entrepreneurship with hobbies? It’s because, really, we’ve all found a way to monetize our hobbies. And I’m not mad at it! But I digress.)
Some of us have taken up services. There’s a huge increase in coaching packages and course offerings. But many of us have taken up products, both tangible and digital.
Once we create the product (which, let’s pause for a huge CONGRATULATIONS!), then we have to find the best way to market and sell it to the world. Of course, we’re all using social media. But we need something more controlled and secure than that.
Enter Etsy. Etsy is a “global online marketplace, where people come together to make, sell, buy, and collect unique items.” For consumers, it’s an amazing, one-stop-shop for specialized items. For sellers, it’s the perfect marketplace to reach your ideal consumer.
If you can’t already tell, I think Etsy is an awesome opportunity for creators and recommend you open your own shop. But if you don’t want to just take my word for it, I’ve done some research.
I took a look at which products perform consistently well on Etsy. If you create one of these products, then you should definitely open your own Etsy shop! Let’s get to the list.
CRAFTS AND SUPPLIES -- if you make crafts and supplies, Etsy is definitely the place for you. Crochet patterns, knitting patterns, and yards of yarn are consistently top-selling products on Etsy. This means you have tons of people looking for what you make!
HANDMADE ITEMS -- if you handmake trinkets, stationary, or essentials, then Etsy is perfect for you! The platform has become a go-to source for unique and handmade items for our homes and the special occasions in our lives.
JEWELRY -- if you make jewelry, then you should be on Etsy! From rings and anklets to hair vines and necklaces, customers are looking for it all on Etsy. Let them find yours!
WEDDING -- if you make wedding supplies, you should also be on Etsy. Invitations, veils, corsages, bells, bouquets, and more! Brides are on Etsy looking for everything to make their weddings unique and personalized.
ACCESSORIES -- if you make accessories for men, women, and/or children, Etsy's for you! From scarves and bags to hair bows and hats, there's a spot (and client) on Etsy for it.
PARTY SUPPLIES -- if you make party supplies, you should open an Etsy shop. Invitations, thank you notes, posters, and paper goods. Women, especially moms, are on there looking for it!
CLOTHING -- if you make clothing, especially for special events or Vintage, Etsy's for you! From t-shirts and sweaters to prom dresses and swimwear, customers are looking for it all on Etsy.
HOME DECOR -- if you make wall decor, candles, or furniture, you better get on Etsy asap! There's no shortage of customers looking for what you make.
