Q1 Reflections and Q2 Intentions

Happy Spring, my friends!

How was your winter? And do you even like winter? I hope it brought you rest, snuggles, steady work, and family time. I hope you felt held and unrushed. And most of all, I hope you loved it.

Winter gave me the quiet I needed to do some deep foundation-laying. On the professional side, I finally launched the full brand identity and website for my branding agency, NewVision Creative Co. It’s been sitting in my heart and the back of my mind for years, and now it’s officially out in the world. I also celebrated one year since my book was published—Shine Through, my love letter to women rebuilding after heartbreak. And I had the joy of speaking at CSHM’s career day, pouring into the next generation of women leaders who reminded me just how much power lives in our stories.

At home, I’ve been just as intentional. My daughter earned Principal’s Honor Roll and Student of the Month—because she’s my kid, and excellence is in her bones. I finally started giving her chores and an allowance, which sounds small, but felt like a new chapter in teaching her responsibility and value (also: the girl lives well, let’s be real). For myself, I said goodbye to casual drinks and hello to supplements that actually support my long-term goals. Financially, I paid down debt, rebuilt savings after a big career shift, and drafted our estate plan—because something about being married now made me want to get our whole future in writing.

And through it all, I stayed grounded. I created daily devotionals that kept me spiritually aligned and emotionally steady. They weren’t long or fancy, but they were sacred. Just me, my journal app, and a quiet moment before the day took off. Winter reminded me that growth doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it hums softly in the background—and that’s more than enough.

So thank you, Winter. Your slow pace is my favorite.
And Spring—girl, hey!

This is the season of sacred preparation.

As a Manifesting Generator and a bear chronotype (which is a gentle, slightly woo-woo way of saying: I move best when I’m aligned with the seasons, and I rise slowly like honey), spring isn’t about a dramatic shift, it’s about gently picking up the pace—intentionally, spiritually, and sustainably.

This season, I’m slowly and steadily building my business with clarity instead of chaos. I’m working on launching my first sales funnel: a DIY version of my signature brand strategy framework, designed for coaches and creatives who are ready to shine online without spending too much coin. My goal is to create once, market well, and set up systems that make sense for my life—not just the algorithm.

It also means tending to my finances—not from a place of panic, but from a place of peace. In Q2, I’m automating savings, planning for big expenses (my daughter’s graduation, family birthdays, summer travel), and assigning every dollar a job. No more floating. Every cent has a purpose.

And of course, it means continuing to nurture my family. Ava has her 5th-grade promotion in June (valedictorian, woop woop!), and our little trio is prepping for the next chapter with care. We’re praying for baby number two, prioritizing health and wholeness, and spending our weekends at volleyball games, church, and Saturday errands that somehow take the whole day but still feel like love.

Q2 isn’t about hustling or proving anything. It’s about preparing and progressing.

For the blessings I’ve prayed for. For the life I’m quietly building. For the expansion I can feel in my spirit, even if I don’t have all the details yet.

I used to think progress had to be loud to count. That I had to hustle to prove I was growing.
Now I know it just has to be honest—and it can be quiet.

So here’s to spring:
🌸 The season of sacred prep work.
🌺 Of soft mornings, cleaner calendars, and full hearts.
🌹 The season of being—patiently, intentionally, and faithfully.

If you’re feeling this season too—whether you're blooming big or building slow—I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment or come say hi over on Instagram!
